Basic Safety and Burning Instructions
Remove all packaging and place the candle on a heat resistant surface. Burn candles no more than 3 to 4 hours per lighting. Keep the wick trimmed to ¼ inch to prevent a smoking candle. Keep burning candles out of drafty areas, as drafts will cause candles to burn uneven and smoke. Never allow the flame to touch glass/ceramic surface and discontinue use when ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom. NEVER LEAVE A BURNING CANDLE UNATTENDED.
Want to get the most out of your handcrafted candle pots? Pirate Creek Bees offers candle refill kits that allow you to refill and re-use your candle pots time and again. Each kit includes beeswax, dipped wicks, and a stainless steel double boiler.

How it works:
CAUTION: DO NOT HEAT BEESWAX DIRECTLY ON AN OPEN HEAT SOURCE. BEESWAX HAS A FLASHPOINT OF 400 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT AND WILL DISCOLOUR ABOVE 185 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT. FLASHPOINT IS THE TEMPERATURE THE BEESWAX WILL COMBUST.
Tip 1: Place plastic wrap on surface prior to pouring wax. Wax can be difficult to clean if spilled.
Tip 2: Use a paperclip to keep wick straight. Bend the outer end of the paper clip to fit over top of the candle pot. Use the inner end of the paper clip to hold the wick.
Tip 3: Cool wax slowly to avoid cracks.
